Taking a step back
Stay connected to real estate while you make room for family, health, travel, or a different pace.
People still call you when they need a real estate agent. With Realty, Inc., you can turn those conversations into approved referrals while a transactional agent handles the real estate work.
Stay connected to real estate while you make room for family, health, travel, or a different pace.
Keep a way to refer the people who trust you without taking on the day-to-day work of their transaction.
Maintain active sponsorship and a connection to Realty Texas while you decide what comes next.
When someone needs help buying or selling, connect them with an appropriate transactional agent through the brokerage-approved referral process.
Use the approved written referral agreement and DotMe™ Room. Texas referrals go to Realty Texas agents; out-of-state referrals go through approved brokerage arrangements.
When the referral agreement’s conditions are met and the brokerage receives payment, your compensation is processed under your plan. Fees are negotiated, and payment is not guaranteed.
Your Agent Operating System defines your plan. DotMe™ is your professional workspace, with the tools available for your approved role.
Referral (OS) does not include MLS+, a custom IDX website, company-provided leads, or an office calling and texting line.
Your monthly plan is $25. Realty, Inc. charges no transaction fee on Referral (OS) referrals.
Your share of a referral fee depends on your approved classification. The remaining share belongs to the brokerage.
| Classification | Agent / brokerage |
|---|---|
| Apprentice | 70% / 30% |
| Associate | 80% / 20% |
| Referral transaction fee | $0 |
Referral fees are negotiated between brokerages. Income varies with completed referrals, the agreed fee, your split, and expenses. No number of referrals or earnings is promised.
Not under Referral (OS). Your authorized role is the referral. Showing property, giving transaction advice, negotiating, preparing contracts, leasing, and property management are outside this plan.
No. A current inactive license can be maintained through TREC, but it does not authorize new brokerage activity. Referral only lets you remain actively sponsored and make new compensated referrals within your approved scope. You still need to keep your education and renewal requirements current.
TREC allows payment for brokerage work performed while your license was active, subject to the applicable requirements. That is different from making a new compensated referral while inactive. Your active sponsorship is what supports new referral activity.
A real estate agent holds a state real estate license. REALTOR® identifies membership in the National Association of REALTORS®. Your Texas license does not automatically make you a REALTOR®. Realty, Inc. associates must use titles and branding appropriate to their membership and sponsorship.
You can refer the client now, or request a transfer to Realty Texas before providing transactional services. Complete the sponsorship change, required agreements, association and MLS requirements, and broker authorization first. Realty Texas reviews your competency approvals and any mentorship requirements.
Yes, through the approved affiliated-company transfer process. Returning to the same Realty Texas AgentOS does not trigger the company’s AgentOS transfer fee solely for the affiliated-company move. Third-party costs and existing obligations still apply.
Access changes with your approved plan. The current transfer process initially assigns incoming Realty Texas agents to the $75 Apartment Locator plan to preserve their office line. To choose the $25 Referral plan, you complete the downgrade yourself in your Agent Profile. That downgrade permanently releases the office number. Review the change before confirming it.
